About Me
I’ve Been enamoured with fabrics and yarns and thread since I could hold a crochet hook. My grandmother and mother were both very well rounded crafts people. I grew up in a home where it was normal to make things with our hands everyday.
The women in my life encouraged me to try all types of art forms and provided tons of support (ie: every kind of craft tool + material known to man.)
My mother had struggles with the push and pull between raising children and her own personal development. As an adult I can now relate to that more.
After becoming a mother to my own son at 18 years old, my work focuses on the joys and the plights I have faced in motherhood.
With a baby on my hip, I attended the University of New Mexico with a focus on photography. I consider myself a crafts person and aspiring fine artist. The crafts person part of me has made a career from quilting, sewing, hot glue and tons of stubbornness. You can see that work here: www.MimiGreen.com
